 | Peter Crocoll & Moonshadow, Dai Shihan October 25, 26, & 27 Batto of Bujinkan Bikenjutsu In 1996, Hatsumi Sensei declared it was to be the Year of the Sword. Soke said that Bujinkan Bikenjutsu was connected to almost 2600 years of combined history of the arts that make up the Bujinkan. “We are not trying to preserve some historical tradition,” he said, instead we were using our sword skills to express Shin Gi Tai Ichi; Body & Spirit become one with the Technique.  | Shiraishi Dai Shihan Nov. 15 – 17, 2024 Shiraishi DaiShihan will be sharing the theme of “Mutō Dori Taijutsu: Creating Unseen Movements” (無刀捕体術：見えない動きの作る方法). This highest form of taijutsu is what Hatsumi-sensei was teaching and spoke often about prior to his retirement (2020). To those who frequently attend Sensei’s classes, you will also be familiar with his speaking of moving in ways that the opponent can’t see or read. This translates to balance being broken without the opponent realizing it, strikes coming from angles and places that cannot be anticipated, and many other aspects. www.taikai.fi |
